Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will assist with daily activities, promote well-being, and ensure the comfort and safety of clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on people's lives while developing valuable skills within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities

Support clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
Assist with mobility and transfer techniques to promote independence
Follow individualised care plans to meet specific health and wellbeing needs
Monitor and record vital signs and health observations accurately
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
Maintain a clean and safe environment in accordance with health and safety regulations
Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
Support clients with household tasks such as meal preparation and light cleaning
Use IT systems to update records and document care provided accurately

Qualifications

Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Valid driving licence is advantageous for roles involving home visits
Good organisational skills with the ability to follow care plans precisely
Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
Basic IT skills for documentation purposes
Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards clients' needs
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: From £13.15 per hour
