Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and friendly Part Time Hotfood assistant to join our team. This role involves preparing and serving a variety of hot foods, deli items and bakery products, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, good organisational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Shift Patterns
This part time position will involve Saturday & Sunday shifts - Additional shifts will be available over the summer for holiday cover - Ideal for students
Responsibilities
- Prepare hot food, deli items and bakery products according to company standards and recipes
- Serve customers efficiently while providing friendly and professional service
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the food preparation area
- Ensure all food safety protocols are followed at all times
- Upsell products to maximise sales opportunities
- Manage stock levels, restocking as necessary during shifts
- Assist with food presentation to ensure visual appeal for customers
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure smooth operation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hot food, a restaurant, catering, or hospitality environment is desirable however not essential as full training will be provided
- Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is advantageous
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Excellent communication skills and a friendly demeanour
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing priorities
