Overview
We are seeking a professional and personable Automotive Receptionist / Service Advisor to join our busy dealership. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing service appointments, and supporting the smooth operation of the service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, mechanical knowledge, and a friendly demeanour to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and professionally as they arrive for service appointments or enquiries.
- Schedule, confirm, and reschedule service appointments efficiently, ensuring optimal utilisation of workshop capacity.
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle repairs, maintenance needs, and estimated completion times.
- Upsell additional services or repairs where appropriate, demonstrating product knowledge and customer care.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments securely.
- Maintain detailed records of customer interactions, service orders, and vehicle histories.
- Liaise with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure timely completion of work.
- Assist in organising the flow of vehicles within the service bay to maximise productivity.
- Support administrative tasks such as filing, answering phone calls, and managing customer queries.
Skills
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple appointments and tasks efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge or familiarity with automotive systems is highly desirable to better explain services to customers.
- Ability to upsell additional services tactfully while prioritising customer needs.
- Cash handling experience with attention to accuracy in financial transactions.
- Effective communication skills both verbally and in writing to liaise confidently with customers and team members.

Pay: £24,500.00-£26,000.00 per year
