Relief Support Practitioners - Arbroath
£13.45 per hour
Arbroath currently have two teams working over Arbroath, Brechin, Friockheim and Carnoustie. We support adults who have a learning disability, Autism and Neurodiverse needs to live a good life and have fun with the support Ark brings. The support includes supporting individuals within their own home and to individuals who stay with their family. Support required may include personal care, medication support, developing skills to live independently, social support out in the community and to attend college where individuals can further their knowledge. We support our supported people to work towards outcomes which can include going on holidays abroad and closer to home, going to concerts, shows, football games to ensure supported people live the best life and experience life to its fullest. We encourage supported people to be involved in living their life how they want to live this, meet and build relationships with each other doing a range of activities that is important to them and their families.

Your main duties will include but not be limited to:
Working with colleagues as part of an effective and efficient team to support vulnerable people.
Communicate and work well with our supported people to provide individual care and maintain appropriate relationships.
Being responsible in supporting individuals throughout the activities, giving positive feedback and encouragement.
Updating and maintaining accurate records using a tablet on Arks Information Management system.
What is a Relief Support Practitioner?
As a Relief Support Practitioner, you do not have contracted hours. This provides flexibility, allowing you to pick up shifts that suit your availability.
Please note: Relief work is offered on an as and when basis to cover sickness absence, study leave, and other staffing needs. We cannot guarantee regular or ongoing work, as the demand for relief staffing may vary over time.
