Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient individual to oversee takeaway kitchen operations and manage the customer service counter. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth food preparation processes, delivering excellent customer service, and maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. Duties
- Prepare and assemble food items in accordance with established recipes and standards
- Manage the takeaway kitchen, ensuring all food is prepared efficiently and to high quality standards
- Serve customers at the counter, taking orders accurately and providing friendly assistance
- Upsell menu items to maximise sales opportunities while maintaining excellent customer service
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and service areas
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure continuous operation
- Assist in training new staff members on food preparation, safety procedures, and customer service protocols
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service delivery
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or foodservice environment is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety standards
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and inventory management
- Experience in food safety practices and maintaining hygiene standards
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced setting
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
- Culinary or kitchen experience preferred but not essential; willingness to learn is important
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Experience in upselling menu items to enhance sales performance

Pay: £50.00-£70.00 per day
