Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to inspire and educate students across KS3 to KS4 in a main stream school in North Norfolk. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging science & mathematics lessons, fostering curiosity, and supporting individual learning requirements. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys within a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Plan and deliver comprehensive science lessons tailored to the curriculum and individual student needs
Adapt teaching methods to accommodate students with disabilities and special educational requirements
Foster a stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and critical thinking
Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support their development
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to ensure inclusive learning experiences
Support students with additional needs through personalised tutoring and behavioural support strategies
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, progress, and behaviour
Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during lessons and activities

Experience

Proven experience in teaching science at primary or secondary level
Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education settings is highly desirable
Strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
Prior experience in tutoring or providing additional support to children, including those with diverse learning needs
Knowledge of toddler care or working with young children is advantageous but not essential
A recognised teaching qualification is preferred; however, relevant experience will also be considered

Pay: £150.00-£223.00 per day
