Full job description

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Assistant Finance Manager to support and ensure all financial transactions are accurate.

The Role:

Ensure all purchase and sales ledger transactions are processed accurately and promptly.
Supervise credit control by processing daily payment receipts.
Lead on bacs and expense payments.
Assist the Finance Manager in revieing staff expenses, reporting, merchant platforms and testing finance system upgrades and introduction of new modules.
Ensure the companies bank accounts are reconciled each month with all anomalies identified and corrected.
Train and support team members to ensure targets are met.
This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average.

The Candidate:

Experience working in financial accounting.
Knowledge of AP/AR and bank reconciliations.
Experience using and understanding complex accounting systems such as Unit 4 and work to make processes more efficient.
Strong collaboration skills with internal and external stakeholders to build and maintain new and existing relationships.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office with advance skills in Excel.
Experience leading and manging a team, developing and motivating team members.
Strong time management skills with the ability to work to strict month and year end deadlines.
Knowledge of how to persuade, influence and communicate effectively.
