Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofs on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. This role requires a strong understanding of roofing techniques, safety procedures, and the ability to work at heights. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience in construction and roofing to contribute to high-quality projects while developing their skills further.

Responsibilities

Install various types of roofing materials including slate, tiles, metal sheets, and flat roofing systems
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to cut, shape, and secure roofing components
Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to ensure efficient workflow
Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing roofs to prevent leaks and structural issues
Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof framing and support structures
Ensure all work complies with safety standards and building codes
Maintain a clean and organised work site throughout each project

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or construction roles with knowledge of roofing systems and materials
Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, fabrication methods, carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and other relevant construction techniques
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights comfortably
Good understanding of safety regulations related to roofing work
Strong physical fitness with the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Relevant certifications or training in roofing or construction trades are desirable but not essential
Full drivers licence is a must
