Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Roofers Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with various roofing projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the smooth progression of site activities. The ideal candidate will be physically fit, eager to learn, and capable of working safely in a dynamic environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the roofing and construction industry.
Duties
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of materials and tools for roofing projects
- Support roofers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems
- Handle heavy lifting of materials such as tiles, shingles, and other roofing components
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment under supervision
- Follow schematics and technical drawings to aid in construction tasks
- Support with masonry, carpentry, plumbing, or welding tasks as required on site
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety protocols
- Assist with site set-up and clean-up at the start and end of each shift
Requirements
- Previous experience or knowledge in construction, roofing, or related trades is advantageous but not essential
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, schematics, welding, masonry, carpentry, plumbing or fabrication is desirable
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively throughout the workday
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Physically fit with the stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions from experienced tradespeople
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to maintaining a safe working environment
