Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Commis Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in food preparation and kitchen operations, with a keen eye for food safety and quality standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your culinary skills within a professional hospitality environment, contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences. Responsibilities

Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Support senior chefs in food production, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality meals
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering strictly to food safety regulations
Prepare ingredients, including chopping, peeling, and portioning, to facilitate efficient kitchen operations
Follow instructions from head chefs and supervisors to ensure consistency in presentation and taste
Contribute to team efforts by collaborating effectively with colleagues during busy service periods
Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health and safety standards at all times
Assist with inventory management by organising supplies and notifying management of stock levels

Experience

Previous experience in a professional kitchen or hospitality environment is desirable but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
Knowledge of food production techniques, cooking methods, and kitchen safety protocols is advantageous
Supervising experience or team management skills are considered a plus for those aspiring to advance within the culinary team
A background in food safety, restaurant service, or culinary arts will support your success in this role
Candidates should demonstrate enthusiasm for food preparation, cooking, and delivering excellent customer service within a hospitality setting

Pay: From £24,420.00 per year
