Head of Content & Brand
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Head of Content & Brand to lead our content strategy, planning and execution. This is a senior role responsible for ensuring all content reflects our brand, engages our audience and supports business growth.
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking with excellent organisational skills, overseeing the entire content lifecycle from planning and coordination through to publication and performance analysis. They will work closely with leadership, marketing and external contributors to create a consistent, high-quality content programme.
This role is ideal for someone who has significant experience building and managing content operations, developing brand-led content strategies and leading content production across multiple channels.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Planning
- Develop and own the company's content strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand positioning.
- Create and manage a comprehensive content calendar across all channels.
- Identify content opportunities based on audience needs, industry trends and commercial priorities.
- Establish content themes, campaigns and editorial priorities throughout the year.
- Measure content performance and continually optimise strategy based on insights and results.
Brand Management
- Act as a guardian of the company's brand voice, messaging and editorial standards.
- Ensure consistency across all content, communications and customer touchpoints.
- Develop and maintain brand and content guidelines.
- Collaborate with leadership to evolve brand positioning and messaging.
Content Production & Operations
- Oversee the end-to-end content creation process.
- Coordinate internal teams
- Ensure content is delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with strategic priorities.
- Implement efficient content workflows, governance and quality control processes.
- Manage content assets and maintain a structured content library.
- Oversee and develop social media stores
Skills & Experience - Essential
- 5+ years' experience in content marketing, editorial, communications or brand-led content roles.
- Proven experience developing and executing content strategies.
- Strong understanding of brand development and brand governance.
- Excellent editorial judgement and storytelling skills.
- Experience managing content calendars and production processes.
- Strong project management and organisational abilities.
- Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and contributors.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on execution.
Desirable
- Experience leading content teams or managing external agencies.
- Knowledge of SEO, content distribution and audience growth strategies.
- Experience within a fast-growing business environment.
- Familiarity with marketing automation, analytics and content management platforms.
