Engineering Skills Training Lead
Lead, Inspire, and Make Your Mark
Are you an experienced engineering training professional who thrives in a fast-paced, commercial environment? We are looking for a driven and technically credible Engineering Skills Training Lead to design and deliver high-impact, short-course training programmes to engineering and manufacturing businesses across the region. Based at our Aldridge Academy, this is a client-facing role where you will work directly with industry partners to identify skills gaps, develop bespoke course content, and deliver exceptional training experiences that generate real business impact. If you are passionate about engineering skills, comfortable working to commercial targets, and want a role where your expertise genuinely makes a difference — this is it.
What We're Looking For
- A Level 3 CAVA assessor qualification or equivalent, with evidence of CPD to current standards
- V1 Internal Quality Assurance award or equivalent (training available for the right candidate)
- A Level 3 or 4 Education & Training qualification or equivalent
- NVQ Level 3 or above in a relevant sector discipline, in line with awarding body requirements
- GCSE Mathematics and English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent)
- Proven experience of coaching, mentoring, and providing developmental feedback to a team
- A track record of motivating others and driving performance against KPIs
- Experience of delivering commercial training or CPD programmes to industry clients, with an understanding of client relationship management and commercial course delivery
