JOB PURPOSE
The post of IT Administrator will support the Group’s activities by taking responsibility for the delivery and day to day administration of its IT systems. The post holder will provide this support in a reliable, secure and efficient manner.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- providing hardware and software support and maintenance to the IT infrastructure of the Group including end user devices, printers and networking equipment.
- administering both cloud based services and on-premise infrastructure
- logging, tracking, and following up on tickets with the external IT company.
- co-ordinating and delivering relevant user training in conjunction with other departments and third party suppliers.
- troubleshooting issues across the group in respect of both hardware and software, remedying issues (whether independently or in conjunction with the Group’s external IT support)
- supporting onboarding and offboarding from an IT perspective.
- assisting stakeholders in gathering relevant data for Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations
- taking part in consultations on and implementing the Group’s AI strategy
- support implementation of new systems and software
- identify opportunities to improve IT systems and processes
- help maintain an inventory of IT equipment and licences
- coordinating supplier communication, quotes and renewals.
- updating the Company’s Intranet
- attending regular meetings and preparing relevant reporting
- maintaining relevant IT documentation, policies and user guides

PERSON SPECIFICATION
Educational Level:
Essential
Degree in IT, Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience
Experience:
Essential
- Proven experience in a 1st line IT support, IT administrator or similar technical role
- Confident adminstering Microsoft 365 (Exchange online, Teams, Sharepoint, EntraID/ RMM Products)
- Working knowledge of Windows 11, Windows Server environments and networking concepts
Desirable
- Cyber security awareness
- Experience of back up and disaster recovery solutions
- Knowledge of AI systems and its potential applications
- Experience of a similar in house role

Pay: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Shrewsbury SY3 8LH: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
