Applecroft Residential Home is a small, dedicated elderly care facility with 22 beds, committed to providing compassionate and personalized support for residents with various care needs, including dementia and Alzheimer's. We value dignity, respect, and quality of life for all our residents.
Summary

We are seeking a compassionate Activities Assistant to join our team at Applecroft Residential Home in the GB area. This role is vital in enriching the lives of our residents by organizing engaging activities that promote well-being and social interaction. Your contribution will help us uphold our mission of delivering exceptional elderly care.
Responsibilities

Plan and facilitate a variety of engaging activities tailored to residents' interests and needs.
Support residents in participating in social, recreational, and therapeutic activities.
Collaborate with the care team to assess individual resident preferences and capabilities.
Maintain a safe and welcoming environment during activities.
Document resident participation and feedback to improve activity programs.
Foster a positive atmosphere that encourages social interaction and emotional well-being.
Assist in organizing special events or outings for residents.
Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members to ensure activity plans meet individual needs.
Qualifications
Proven experience in elderly or dementia care settings.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to organize engaging activities that cater to diverse needs.
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in senior well-being.
Knowledge of dementia and Alzheimer's disease preferred.
Flexibility and creativity in activity planning.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
Relevant certifications or training in elder care or activity coordination are advantageous.
