Full job description

Incatext Ltd, a well-established commercial furniture manufacturer, requires an enthusiastic production operative to join our dynamic and friendly team based in Weston-super-Mare.

This role involves various aspects of manufacturing but focuses on the preperation of materials prior to being upholstered. Including, but not limited to:

- Fixing of foam/fabric to pre made frames

- applying support materials to frames such as webbing

- cutting raw sheet material to a specific pattern or shape

Previous experience in a production environment is essential , with competency in the use of power tools and previous spraying (paint, adhesives) also beneficial. The role requires a level of physical fitness with lifting and moving forming part of this position.

The ideal candidate should possess the following qualities:

Charismatic, focussed and driven to succeed
Flexible and adaptable approach with the drive to seek better ways of working
Capable of following instructions, using templates and taking measurements
Able to complete tasks efficiently and to a high standard
Ability to meet strict deadlines whilst reacting to changing circumstances
Take pride in work with excellent attention to detail
Team player with ability to work independently using initiative
Good numeracy and literacy skills

Although full training will be given, a background awareness of manual handling and health and safety at work is advantageous.

Working Pattern:

Permanent, full-time position (39 hours per week)
Monday to Thursday 7.30am - 4.30pm, Friday 7.30am - 12.30pm
