Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented General Cleaning Assistant to join our team. 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday , Mornings , flexible, based in Barcaldine.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation across various premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for clients and staff alike. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who take pride in their work and enjoy contributing to a positive atmosphere. Prior experience is not essential, as full training will be provided. A valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate travel.

. Duties

Perform general cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, kitchens, and communal areas
Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling protocols are followed
Restock supplies such as toilet paper, hand soap, and cleaning materials as needed
Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly
Assist with organising storage areas and ensuring equipment is stored correctly
Support team members with additional tasks to uphold cleanliness standards across all designated sites

Skills

Basic understanding of cleaning techniques and health & safety standards
Good communication skills in English to understand instructions and interact politely with colleagues and clients
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Valid driving licence is advantageous for travel between multiple locations
Customer service orientation with a friendly and professional attitude
