Job description

Are you interested in Science and keen to pursue a career where you can make a meaningful impact? If so, then we are looking for you! We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join our Organics Team as an Analyst.

Step Into the Role

With a degree in a science-related subject, you will analyse and investigate results for a range of scientific work alongside Senior Analysts and Technicians.

Main responsibilities:

Analysis and preparation of laboratory samples and reagents in accordance with laboratory test procedures.

Responsible for hitting daily targets and deadlines as set by the Team Leader

The calculation and interpretation of analytical results.

Ensuring Health and Safety and Quality procedures are adhered to.

Data entry into LIMS.

Calibration, equipment and balance checks.

Housekeeping, ensuring the laboratory work area is clean, tidy and free from rubbish.

Part of the weekend rota team.

Our Offer

Consett (free onsite parking)
Monday-Friday 37.5hrs per week

Your profile

Qualifications required:

HNC or degree in a science related subject

Desirable:

Two years laboratory experience.

Experience using GC-FID, GCGC, GC-MS or LC-MS systems would be advantageous.

Our UKAS accredited soil contamination testing lab checks for contaminants, allowing clients to operate safely. We also provide a wide range of UKAS accredited waste testing services to support regulatory compliance, renewable energy qualification, and zero waste to landfill goals.

Our knowledgeable team delivers fast turnaround times and precise analysis to help you manage waste effectively and sustainably.
