Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated <PERSON>/stonemason to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality masonry work, including the installation and repair of stone structures, walls, and façades. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a strong understanding of various building techniques. The position offers an excellent opportunity to develop specialised skills within the construction industry while contributing to prestigious projects.

Responsibilities

Measure, cut, shape, and lay bricks, stones, and other materials using hand tools and power tools
Construct and repair stone structures such as walls, facades, fireplaces, and decorative features
Mix mortar and other materials to ensure proper adhesion and durability
Follow technical drawings and specifications to ensure accuracy in all work
Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other tradespeople to ensure project requirements are met
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations
Assist with carpentry, roofing, or welding tasks as needed for integrated construction projects

Experience

Proven experience in masonry or stonemasonry is essential
Cscs card
Proficiency with hand tools such as chisels, hammers, trowels, and levels
Experience with bricklaying, masonry techniques, and the use of power tools is highly desirable
Knowledge of carpentry, roofing, or welding will be considered an advantage but is not mandatory
Ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately
Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship and quality assurance
