Step Into the Role
Main Responsibilities:
- Reception, recording, storage, and retrieval of soil and water samples using LIMS and Regmaster systems.
- Preparation of samples including traying out, crushing, drying, weighing, filtering, splitting into separate containers, adding acids, and preparing leachates.
- Describing soil types and logging sample descriptions and laboratory data into LIMS and Regmaster.
- Preparation, recording, storage, and disposal of water and leachate samples.
- Ensuring all health & safety and quality procedures are adhered to at all times.
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and organised laboratory work area.

- Consett (free onsite parking)
- 42.5 hours Mon-Fri between 0600-1800. (1x4hour shift on Sat every 4 weeks with hours gained back the week earlier)

Your profile
Experience required:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of working in a production/warehouse environment.
- Industry experience desired but not essential
Qualifications Desired:
- A minimum of G.C.S.E grade C or above in Science, Maths and English is desirable.
- Forklift Truck Licence
Additional skills required:
- Proactive approach to work and good organisational skills.
- Ability use initiative and work towards targets.
- Good communicator.
- Basic computer skills.
