Full job description

Job Overview

due to our expanding fleet We are seeking a professional HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team.

Duties

Operate a HGV Class 1 vehicle to deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner
Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and in accordance with road safety laws and company policies
Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the lorry is in optimal condition
Maintain accurate delivery documentation and communicate effectively with dispatch teams
Adhere to scheduled routes and delivery times, adjusting plans as necessary for traffic or other delays
Follow all health and safety procedures during driving, loading, and unloading activities

Requirements

Valid HGV Class 1 licence
experience in commercial driving preferred
Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods
Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable
Ability to operate equipment safely and efficiently
Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if necessary
