We are looking for an enthusiastic MIG welding apprentice for our Production Department in our factory in Dunstable. You will be part of a small team learning all aspects of fabrication with the focus on reading drawings and welding to a high standard. You will also be gaining understanding of various metals and operating fabrication machinery safely and effectively.
Enthusiasm, good work ethics and aptitude for learning this skill is the number one requirement.
You will be learning
· Welding new refuse/linen chutes systems along with replacement Hopper Doors and Discharge sections.
· Operating sanders, machinery, and welding equipment.
· Work safe under the companies Health and Safety guidelines.
· Checking the quality before and after the welding.
· Palletising / manoeuvring parts using lifting aids.
· Maintaining a high level of housekeeping.
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience
- Aptitude for working with tools
- Multi-skill and be flexible based on the needs and demands of the business.
- Great attention to detail
- Organised and calm under pressure.
- Problem Solver
- Manual Handling and physical lifting will be required.
