Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accounts Technician to join our dynamic finance team. This entry-level role offers an exciting opportunity to develop foundational accounting skills within a fast-paced financial services environment. As a Trainee Accounts Technician, you will gain hands-on experience in managing financial data, supporting accounts payable processes, and utilizing leading accounting software systems. This paid position is ideal for individuals eager to kick-start their career in finance and accounting, with a focus on learning and professional growth.

Duties

Assist in processing accounts payable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments to vendors and suppliers
Assisting in Accounts receivable, solving any queries, credit control
Enter financial data into various accounting software platforms such as Sage & Xero
Support the reconciliation of accounts and review financial records for discrepancies or errors
Help maintain organized records of invoices, receipts, and other financial documentation
Collaborate with team members to support month-end closing activities and reporting tasks
Strong interest in accounting, finance, or related fields with a desire to learn and grow professionally
Assist with the payroll function within the business
Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
Familiarity with popular accounting software such as Sage, Xero, Dext
Experience with data entry and maintaining organized records
Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively within a team environment and follow instructions carefully
Good communication skills and a proactive attitude toward problem-solving
