Who we are;
We are a family run company established since 1980, renowned for our outstanding customer service. We operate in the grocery sector under the SPAR & EuroSPAR symbols, employing over 500 people. With 9 stores, incorporating 6 Vineyard off-licences, 6 Post Offices, and our own butchery and meal ranges, all mainly located in the north west and mid ulster areas.

You will be allocated to a Training Store where you will receive immediate responsibility, combined with excellent on the job training gaining invaluable, hands-on experience to every facet of the store – financial management, customer service, community engagement, merchandising, leading and inspiring your team.
We'll expect a lot from you throughout the programme, so you'll need to be hardworking, passionate about retail and committed to delivering the very best for our customers. However, you'll receive full support from your mentors and colleagues in your store to help you realise your potential.
Your speed of progression to Store Manager and beyond will be entirely up to you and the results that you achieve.
What you’ll need;
- You must have a passion for food retail, working in a store environment and delivering a great service to customers.
- Previous retail experience is preferred but not essential.
- We’re looking for the ‘best people’ - people with the ability to lead a team, people who are great at communication and people who are eager to drive and maintain excellent store performance and standards.
- The ability to think outside the box, set yourself high standards and always wanting to continually improve the business are also essential ‘best people’ attributes.
- Our roles also require a flexible approach to working so you’ll be happy to do early starts and late finishes, and you’ll also be available to work on weekends.
