Job Summary / Purpose
As a Senior Production Operative, you will play a critical role in our core sprout cultivation and packing processes. You will assist with the daily planting and harvesting schedule, maintaining our strict BRC quality standards, and operating food production equipment safely. This role involves physical, hands-on labour—including heavy lifting—and requires a reliable individual who can take ownership of hygiene, record-keeping, and process efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Cultivation
- Planting & Harvesting: Carry out daily planting and harvesting of sprouted seed products according to the production schedule.
- Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate food production and sprout-cultivation machinery according to company guidelines.
- Packing & Palletizing: Pack products and build pallets, ensuring they are secure and ready for distribution to major retailers.
Quality, Hygiene & Safety
- BRC Compliance: Strictly adhere to Good4U’s quality standards, food safety protocols, and health and safety procedures.
- Heavy Lifting & Safety: Safely perform physically demanding tasks, including the heavy lifting of trays, raw materials, and finished goods, while adhering to proper manual handling guidelines.
- Clean Down & Hygiene: Execute the thorough clean-down and sanitization of production equipment and maintain immaculate housekeeping across all work areas.
- Traceability & Paperwork: Accurately carry out operational checks and complete essential production and quality paperwork to maintain full traceability.

Experience & Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to comfortably perform physical labor and routine heavy lifting.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to complete regulatory paperwork accurately.
Desirable:
- Proven experience in a food production or commercial agricultural environment.
- Practical experience working with high hygiene standards (HACCP or BRC environments).
Work Environment Note: This role operates within a specialised sprout-growing facility. Candidates should be comfortable working in environments that involve varying temperatures, moisture, and high hygiene controls. Appropriate PPE and safety training will be fully provided.
Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
