We are looking for motivated, reliable self-employed drivers with their own van to support our growing collections service. You’ll be collecting unsellable books from across Essex, delivering them to a recycling partners.
This role suits people who take pride in professional driving, are organised, physically capable, and want to contribute to reducing waste and supporting sustainable supply chains.
About the Role
- Multi-stop collections from donation points
- Loading and unloading of bagged and loose stock
- Producing handwritten receipts based on digital information
- Using a smartphone to access collection instructions
- Friendly, professional conduct with the public
- Route planning and support provided by our office
- Weekly invoicing and clear records expected
You’ll Need:
- Your own Long Wheel Base Van (LWB) in good condition
- Goods-in-Transit insurance + Public Liability insurance
- Valid UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
- Registered as self-employed with UTR (or willing to register)
- Smartphone with data for receiving route info
- Ability to write clear collection receipts by hand
- Reasonable physical fitness for lifting/moving stock
- Punctuality, professionalism, and basic English communication skills

Pay: £200.00-£250.00 per day
