General Catering Assistant Volunteer
Location: Crimple House, Harrogate

We are looking for volunteers to support the Head Chef delivering consistently high-quality food and handling purchase orders. To volunteer with the kitchen team to provide catering services to Patients, Visitors and staff according to their needs, ensuring that food hygiene standards are maintained.
Key tasks:
- Simple daily food preparation and duties assigned by the Head Chef/Chef on duty to meet the standard and the quality set by the Hospice.
- Follow health codes and cleanliness standards in the food storage areas and kitchen.
- Set up rooms for Functions/Clear these Functions
- Support with meal delivery
Through volunteering your time at North Yorkshire Hospice Care you are supporting those in our community who are experiencing terminal illness, bereavement, or wish to access emotional wellbeing support. Volunteers are integral to the work of North Yorkshire Hospice Care and we would love to welcome you to our team.
What we’re looking for:
Previous experience of catering
- To have or have held a food hygiene certificate
- Good interpersonal skills
- The ability to work unsupervised

- We will complete a DBS check and ask you to provide some information before you begin volunteering.
