Due to continued growth and increased customer demand, we are expanding our team and are offering a genuine permanent position for a 3.5T LWB Van Driver to collect healthcare waste.
This is an immediate requirement. We are conducting interviews straight away with an immediate start available for the right candidates.
The role involves carrying out healthcare waste collections from our clients and is an integral part of the Phoenix Environmental team.

About you
As a van driver for our waste business, you will be a critical point of contact between our company and our customers by continuing our successful service and customer experience. You must be physically fit as the waste we collect can be bulky and heavy, and some customers waste is kept on multiple floors, you must also have excellent geographical knowledge, this round covers colchester, ipswich, bury st edmunds and norfolk
Role requirements
● Must have a full UK driving license, preferably clean and over 25 years
● At least 2 years of consistent van driving experience in a work capacity
● Must be punctual, reliable, self-motivated with an eye for detail
● Must be considerate and self-aware while driving and at our customers' sites
● Must have a “can do” attitude and comfortable adapting to changing priorities
● Must be able to work independently as well as part of a team
Role responsibilities:
● Carrying out multiple pre-routed healthcare waste collections from our customers' sites nationwide, this includes bagged, boxed and sharps waste as well as servicing sanitary waste in female toilets.
● Delivering items of stock to our customers
● Carrying out vehicle checks at the start of the day and filling out the relevant paperwork
● Filling out collection paperwork clearly and being organised using our digital pads
● Working Monday to Friday
