Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Teacher to join our vibrant dance studio. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging dance lessons across various styles, fostering a positive learning environment, and inspiring students of all ages and skill levels. Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality dance lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels, including beginners and advanced students.
- Create a supportive and motivating environment that encourages students to improve their technique and confidence.
- Demonstrate various dance techniques clearly, providing constructive feedback to help students progress.
- Organise and supervise warm-up exercises, stretching routines, and cool-down sessions to ensure safety during classes.
- Monitor student attendance, progress, and behaviour, maintaining accurate records of each student's development.
- Adapt lesson plans as needed to accommodate individual learning styles and special requirements.
- Promote a positive studio atmosphere through effective communication, encouragement, and professionalism.
- Participate in studio events, performances, or competitions as required, representing the studio professionally at all times.
Qualifications
- Degree or equivalent recognised dance qualification
- Proven experience teaching dance in a professional or community setting, of 2 years or more.
- Strong knowledge of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, contemporary, hip-hop, or others relevant to the studio’s offerings.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages.
- Organised with the ability to plan engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
- Enthusiastic, patient, and approachable personality with a genuine passion for dance education.
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends if required.
- A recognised first aid qualification is advantageous but not essential.
