We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Quality Control & Quality Assurance Co-Ordinator to join our cosmetics manufacturing team in Peterborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced quality professional with a strong understanding of cosmetic GMP standards and a passion for maintaining exceptional product quality.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring all raw materials, production processes, and finished products meet stringent internal and regulatory standards, helping deliver products to a “gold seal” standard of excellence. The role will work closely alongside our Regulatory & Compliance Controller, therefore experience in regulatory compliance within the cosmetics sector is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct quality control inspections on raw materials, bulk products, packaging, and finished goods
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance systems in line with ISO 22716 / Cosmetic GMP standards
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with internal SOP's and regulatory requirements
- Support batch documentation review, deviation investigations, and non-conformance reporting
- Maintain accurate quality records, specifications, and traceability documentation
- Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, regulatory, and compliance teams
- Support internal audits
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across quality systems and manufacturing operations
- Manage and maintain quality-related digital systems and documentation platforms
- Ensure high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and operational compliance throughout the facility
Essential Skills & Experience
- Previous experience in a Quality Control and/or Quality Assurance role within cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceuticals, or related manufacturing sectors
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 22716 (Cosmetic GMP) standards
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Experience handling quality documentation, SOPs, batch records, and investigations
- Strong computer literacy and confidence using digital systems, databases, and quality management software
- Excellent organisational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment
Desirable Experience
- Experience working alongside regulatory or compliance functions
- Understanding of cosmetic product regulations and compliance requirements
- Experience supporting audits and certification processes
- Familiarity with ERP, QMS, or document control systems
