Full job description

Charles & Dean is looking for a creative and capable Content Executive to join our growing marketing team.

This is a hands-on role with a particular focus on email marketing, organic social media and graphic design, alongside delivering wider content and campaign activity across the business.

You’ll work from clear briefs to create high-quality, engaging content across multiple channels, taking work from initial brief through to publication and ensuring it is accurate, on-brand and delivered to deadline.

We’re looking for someone with solid experience working within a professional marketing environment who is comfortable producing content themselves and can demonstrate the quality of their previous work.

Role Priorities

The role will initially focus on:

Creating high-quality content across email, social media and wider marketing campaigns.
Supporting the delivery of regular email campaigns and customer communications.
Producing engaging and consistent organic social content.
Creating branded graphics and creative assets across digital and offline channels.
Supporting customer stories, case studies and wider content activity.
Maintaining a consistently high standard of copy, design and brand presentation.

Key Responsibilities

Create, build, test and schedule email marketing campaigns.
Write engaging copy for email, social media, blogs and wider campaign activity.
Create branded graphics and marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Create and publish organic social media content across Charles & Dean’s channels.
Produce content and creative assets from supplied marketing briefs.
Support the creation of customer case studies, testimonials and campaign content.
Adapt content and creative for different channels and audiences.
Coordinate with colleagues across the business to obtain information, imagery and supporting content.
Proofread and quality-check content before publication.
Maintain consistency with Charles & Dean’s brand guidelines.
Support wider marketing activity and campaigns where required.
Ensure marketing communications meet relevant FCA, GDPR and financial promotion requirements.

Measures of Success

Success will primarily be measured through:

Quality and consistency of content produced.
Delivery of agreed content and marketing activity to deadline.
Accuracy and attention to detail.
Quality of email, social and creative output.
Engagement with email and organic social content.
Consistent application of the Charles & Dean brand.
Contribution to the successful delivery of wider marketing campaigns.

About You

You’ll be a creative, organised and capable marketer who enjoys producing content and seeing your work go live.

You’ll have hands-on experience within an in-house marketing team or agency environment, with demonstrable experience producing content across email marketing, organic social media and graphic design.

You will have:

A minimum of two years’ relevant marketing experience within an in-house marketing team or marketing agency.
Demonstrable examples of email, social and design work you have personally produced.
Hands-on experience creating and delivering email marketing campaigns.
Experience creating content for organic social media.
Confidence producing high-quality branded graphics using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
Strong organisation and time-management skills.
The ability to interpret a brief and turn it into polished marketing content.
Confidence working collaboratively with colleagues, customers and external stakeholders.
A creative mindset and strong eye for effective content.

Experience within financial services, automotive or another regulated industry would be beneficial but is not essential.

Marketing Skills & Tools

You will have practical experience across:

Email marketing — creating, building, testing and scheduling email campaigns and customer communications.
Organic social media — creating platform-appropriate copy, graphics and content.
Graphic design — producing high-quality branded marketing assets using Canva, Adobe Creative Suite or similar.
Copywriting — writing clear, engaging and accurate marketing copy across different channels.
Content creation — producing campaign assets, customer stories, case studies and supporting marketing materials.
Email platforms — experience using HubSpot, Mailchimp or another email marketing platform.
Brand consistency — applying established brand guidelines across different formats and channels.
AI tools — confidently using AI tools to support content creation, ideation and day-to-day efficiency.

Experience with basic video editing, short-form video creation or CMS platforms would be advantageous but is not essential.

Role Positioning

The Content Executive is a hands-on role within Charles & Dean’s in-house marketing team, supporting the creation and delivery of content across a broad range of marketing activity.

The role is suited to a capable and confident marketing all-rounder who can work independently from a clear brief, manage their own workload and take responsibility for delivering high-quality work across email, social and design.

You’ll be joining a growing and ambitious business, so we’re looking for someone who is proactive, comfortable working at pace and confident in taking ownership of their day-to-day work.
