Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatrist specializing in Autism Diagnostic Assessments for both children and adults. In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose autism spectrum disorder (ASD), providing clarity and direction for individuals and their families. Your expertise will help shape personalized treatment plans, support early intervention strategies, and improve quality of life through precise diagnosis and patient-centered care. Responsibilities

Conduct detailed autism diagnostic assessments for children and adults, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews to ensure accurate diagnosis.
Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, speech therapists, and social workers, to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to each individual’s needs.
Engage with patients and their families compassionately, providing clear explanations of assessment results and next steps in treatment or support options.
Maintain thorough documentation of assessments, diagnoses, and treatment recommendations in compliance with regulatory standards.
Stay current with emerging research, best practices, and diagnostic criteria related to autism spectrum disorder to ensure the highest quality of care.
Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and ongoing professional development activities to foster continuous improvement.
Support patient care by offering guidance on available resources, community programs, and support networks for individuals with ASD.

Qualifications

Medical degree with board certification or eligibility in Psychiatry from an accredited institution.
Proven experience working with children and adults diagnosed with or suspected of having autism spectrum disorder.
Strong skills in patient care, including empathetic communication and thorough clinical evaluation.
Knowledge of standardized diagnostic tools such as ADOS (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule) or ADI-R (Autism Diagnostic Interview-Revised).
Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Ability to manage complex cases with sensitivity and professionalism while maintaining detailed documentation.
