A rapidly expanding, full-service agency with a friendly and passionate team, complete with an exciting client roster, is seeking a Delegate Technology Manager (12 month MAT leave cover).
Role Purpose
Working with a team of 5 in the Delegate Management division at Premier Events, you will be responsible for the strategic and technical delivery of delegate-facing event technology across live, hybrid, and virtual events. You will also oversee the development and management of delegate websites, registration systems, mobile event apps, and onsite technologies to ensure seamless, data-driven delegate experiences from registration through post-event engagement.
Core Responsibilities
Delegate Technology & Systems Management
Build and manage delegate websites, registration forms, and event apps; configure registration platforms and attendee journeys; manage integrations between event systems, CRM, and marketing platforms; support with onsite technologies including badge printing, kiosks, lead retrieval, and check-in systems; troubleshoot technical issues and implement system improvements
Event App & Digital Experience Delivery
Manage the setup, testing, and deployment of event mobile apps and virtual event platforms within the Swoogo platform; oversee content uploads, agendas, networking tools, push notifications, sponsor profiles, and attendee engagement features; ensure seamless digital user experience across platforms
Data Management & Compliance
Maintain delegate data integrity and GDPR compliance; manage data imports, segmentation, reporting, and analytics; support event management teams and clients with accurate attendee data and insights; create reporting dashboards and post-event analysis
Delegate Experience & Communications
Manage end-to-end delegate journeys across digital touchpoints; oversee registration confirmations, reminder campaigns, app communications, and attendee support; ensure high-quality user experience and engagement throughout the event lifecycle
Event Delivery (Onsite & Virtual)
Support the delivery of live, hybrid, and virtual events; onsite registration operations and technical setup; coordinate testing and readiness of all delegate technology systems before launch and during live event delivery
Project & Stakeholder Management
Manage multiple concurrent event technology projects; collaborate with internal teams, clients, suppliers, and platform providers; contribute to process improvements, innovation, and adoption of new event technologies
Key Competencies
Technical
Event registration platforms, ideally Swoogo but other platforms such as Cvent, EventsAir, Aventri would be beneficial, event apps and virtual platforms (e.g., ON24, VFairs, Hopin, Swapcard); website and form building; CRM systems; Microsoft Office (advanced Excel preferred); integrations/APIs (desirable); onsite event technology and badge printing systems
Data & Analytical
Delegate data management and segmentation; reporting and dashboard creation; analytical mindset; attention to detail; data compliance and GDPR understanding
Behavioural
Strong organisation and project management skills; excellent communication and stakeholder management; proactive problem-solving; ability to work under pressure in fast-paced event environments; client-focused and collaborative approach
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
Strong technical and IT skills; experience managing registration systems, delegate websites, or event apps; excellent communication and organisational skills; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
Desirable
Experience in event technology, delegate management, or digital event delivery; knowledge of CRM and marketing platforms; understanding of APIs and integrations; relevant degree or event qualification

Location
Leicester with hybrid flexibility (as agreed with Line Manager)
Contract
Min 12 months (MAT cover)
Travel
Required for live events, including occasional overnight stays

37.5 hours per week with flexibility required during peak event periods and live event delivery
