Full job description

Position Overview:

We are looking for a creative, commercially minded and highly organised Trade Marketing Executive to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract covering maternity leave.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bringing our brands to life across UK and International markets through engaging trade activations, point of purchase execution, customer initiatives and display development.

Working cross-functionally with commercial, creative, brand and product teams, you will support the delivery of best-in-class trade marketing activity that enhances the customer and consumer experience across multiple channels including travel retail, cruise and ferries.

Responsibilities:

Support the delivery of trade marketing initiatives across UK and International markets to drive brand visibility and commercial performance.
Coordinate cross-functional projects to improve executional excellence across channels and customers.
Manage the development and production of point of purchase materials, displays and trade activation tools.
Work with manufacturing partners and suppliers to support ongoing display development and identify cost-effective solutions.
Maintain the Global Asset Register, ensuring compliance and certification requirements are up to date.
Coordinate incoming and outgoing display and packaging movements with support from the Marketing Assistant.
Partner with commercial teams to develop customer-specific activation initiatives and campaigns.
Travel to customer sites, trade shows, suppliers and other business locations as required to support trade marketing activity and project delivery.
Support the Travel Retail team with initiatives, displays and training materials for Cruise and Ferry customers.
Assist with trade show preparation and support wider multi-channel marketing activity when required.
Work collaboratively with creative teams, agencies and internal stakeholders to develop engaging and effective trade activation materials.
Develop customer-facing communications and training tools to support product and brand engagement.
Actively contribute to wider team projects and support the Trade Marketing team with a flexible and collaborative approach.
Engage with the wider business community and support charity and engagement initiatives.
Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines and report any concerns appropriately.

Skills & Experience Required:

Trade Marketing Knowledge:

Understanding of trade marketing principles, consumer engagement and promotional execution across retail or FMCG environments.

Project Management:

Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, priorities and deadlines effectively.

Stakeholder Management:

Confident working cross-functionally with internal teams and external suppliers or agencies.

Commercial Awareness:

Ability to balance creative ideas with customer requirements, timelines and budgets.

Creativity & Innovation:

Experience supporting engaging point of purchase activity, displays or customer activations.

Communication skills:

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.

Attention to detail:

High level of accuracy and attention to brand consistency, compliance and administration.

Adaptability:

A flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to work across multiple channels and support wider team priorities when needed.

Travel & Mobility:

Full UK driving license is essential.

Willingness and flexibility to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally as required for customer visits, trade shows, supplier meetings and business projects.
