Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Kitchen Worktop Finisher / Assembler to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, finishing, polishing, and preparing kitchen worktops to a high standard ready for installation or customer delivery. The role involves working with premium acrylic solid surface or similar composite worktops. No prior experience necessary but must be able to demonstrate competence with hand tools and enthusiasm to work with precision to an exceptional standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assemble pre-cut kitchen worktops and related components according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Primarily sand, polish, and finish worktops using hand and power tools
- Complete joints, fit sinks and polish drainer grooves, upstands and splashbacks, and edging profiles.
- Operate workshop machinery safely and efficiently.
- Ensure finished products meet company quality inspection standards.
- Prepare and pack completed worktops for transport and installation.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area.
- Follow all health & safety procedures and safe manual handling practices.
- Report material defects, equipment faults, or production issues to supervisors.
- Work collaboratively with the entire workshop and office team.
Skills & Experience Required
Desirable (not mandatory)
- Experience in kitchen worktop assembly, or finishing (not mandatory)
- Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and measurements.
- Competent using hand tools, routers, polishers, saws, and workshop machinery.
- Good attention to detail and workmanship standards.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good understanding of workplace health & safety.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or joinery environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials safely.
- Comfortable standing for extended periods.
- Ability to work in a dusty and noisy workshop environment.

Working Hours
Monday–Friday, 07:30–15:30 (final hours to be agreed)
Salary
Typically minimum wage but higher depending on experience.

Example Additional Duties
- Assisting installation teams when required.
- Conducting minor repairs or rework on damaged worktops.
- Supporting stock control and material handling.
Pay: £12.71-£15.23 per hour
