Occupational Health Adviser
Location: Portsmouth
Working Pattern: Part-Time (24 hours per week – days to be agreed)
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience
Drayton Medical Services Ltd is delighted to offer an opportunity for a skilled and motivated Occupational Health Adviser (OHA) to join our friendly, supportive, and growing team based in Portsmouth.
With over 30 years of experience, we are a trusted provider of occupational health services, supporting organisations of all sizes across a wide range of industries. Since 1992, we have delivered high-quality, tailored workplace health solutions to sectors including transport, marine, hospitality, emergency services, education, and the civil service.
Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced Occupational Health Physicians and Advisers, supported by dedicated management and administrative staff, all working from our fully equipped on-site health suite.
About the Role
This is a varied and rewarding role, working with a diverse client base both locally and across the South Central region. You will play a key role in delivering high-quality occupational health services, including:
- Health surveillance programmes
- Sickness absence case management
- Management referrals and workplace assessments
- Pre-employment health screening

Essential Requirements
- NMC-registered Nurse with a recognised Occupational Health qualification (minimum Diploma in Occupational Health)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle
- Willingness to travel to client sites across the South Coast
- Availability to undertake occasional night worker assessments
- Proven experience in management referrals
- Competence in vaccinations and phlebotomy
- Ability to work independently with a proactive approach
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Professional, reliable, and solution-focused mindset
- Resilient, adaptable, and team-oriented
- Confident in the use of IT systems
