Job Description
On Site Security Ltd is seeking an ambitious, commercially minded and results-driven Head of Business Development to lead and accelerate growth across our Security, Cleaning and Facilities Management divisions.
This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk waiting for enquiries to arrive.
We are looking for an experienced business developer who understands how to identify opportunities, open doors, build long-term relationships and secure new contracts.
You will play a key role in shaping the future growth of the business, helping to expand our presence across the construction, commercial, industrial, hospitality, property management and facilities management sectors.
This role combines strategic planning with hands-on business development activity and offers genuine opportunities for progression as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Generate and secure new business opportunities across our Security, Cleaning and Facilities Management divisions.
- Develop and implement business development strategies to support company growth objectives.
- Build relationships with Facilities Managers, Procurement Teams, Operations Managers, Project Managers, Construction Managers and Company Directors.
- Conduct cold calling, email campaigns, networking and face-to-face prospecting activities.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, networking events and industry exhibitions.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations and tender submissions.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
- Manage opportunities from initial enquiry through to contract award and mobilisation.
- Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular forecasting reports.
- Identify emerging markets and opportunities for expansion.
- Work closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery of new contracts.
- Support the future development of the company's sales function and commercial strategy.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in business development within the Security, Cleaning or Facilities Management sectors.
- Demonstrable track record of winning new business and growing client accounts.
- Strong understanding of B2B sales processes and relationship management.
- Experience in tender submissions and contract negotiations is desirable.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Commercially aware with strong negotiation abilities.
- Self-motivated, target-driven and highly organised.
- Full UK driving licence preferred.

Experience
- B2B Sales: 3 years minimum (required)
- Security, Cleaning or Facilities Management industry experience: 2 years preferred
Work Location
Hybrid remote in Bristol BS5 0RT with regular travel to client sites and meetings across the South West and surrounding regions.
