A fantastic opportunity has emerged for an enthusiastic individual to kickstart their career in planning as a Planning Officer. You will join our welcoming team and play a vital role in various planning projects, from mineral and waste planning to major applications and infrastructure initiatives across Nottinghamshire.

As a Planning Officer, your key responsibilities will include:

Supporting the review of our statutory Mineral Local Plan, guiding it from initial stages to adoption.
Providing expert advice on significant planning applications and proposals on behalf of the Council.
Ensuring that development projects contribute to community infrastructure costs.
Collaborating with team members to deliver high-quality planning services.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

A keen interest in planning and development.
A relevant qualification at Degree level
Basic knowledge of planning legislation and processes
Required Soft Skills or Competencies/Behaviours
