Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Mobile Service Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing on/off site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for a range of Material Handling equipment across various locations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, delivering exceptional service to clients while developing your technical expertise. The position involves a company vehicle (van) and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and customer satisfaction.

Duties

Conduct routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on material handling equipment at client sites to ensure optimal performance and safety standards.
Troubleshoot technical issues efficiently, diagnosing faults accurately and implementing effective solutions.
Install, commission, and decommission material handling equiptment as required, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company procedures.
Provide technical support and training to clients on the operation and maintenance of equipment.
Maintain detailed records of service activities, repairs, and parts used, ensuring accurate documentation for future reference.
Liaise with the central office to coordinate schedules, report progress, and escalate complex issues when necessary.
Ensure all work complies with health and safety legislation, company policies, and industry standards.
Assist in the optimisation of service processes to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Experience

Proven experience in mechanical or electrical engineering, preferably within a mobile or field service environment.
Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems swiftly.
Familiarity with a variety of mobile equipment or systems such as hydraulic machinery, generators, or specialised industrial tools is desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple service calls visits effectively.
Valid driving licence is essential; willingness to travel is required, mainly local.
Prior experience working independently in remote locations is advantageous.
Relevant certifications or qualifications in engineering or technical fields will be considered an asset.
