Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-time Chef to join our culinary team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a flair for food preparation and cooking to showcase their skills in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals, ensuring a positive dining experience for our customers. Flexibility in hours and the chance to develop your culinary expertise are key benefits of this position.

Duties

Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely service during busy periods
Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in all kitchen activities
Organise ingredients and kitchen tools efficiently to optimise workflow
Support the team with food presentation and garnishing to enhance visual appeal
Ensure cleanliness of workstations, utensils, and kitchen equipment after each shift
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment
Collaborate with other staff members to deliver excellent customer service during service hours

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or a similar role within a restaurant or catering environment
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in kitchen hygiene
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Previous experience in meal preparation and serving is desirable but not essential
Enthusiasm for culinary arts and willingness to learn new techniques
Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
