Company description

We are an independent opticians based on the outskirts of beautiful Durham. We have a loyal patient base and are highly recommended. We pride ourselves with customer care and are renowned for our expertise. We do not open on a Sunday or any Bank Holidays. Working Saturdays would be necessary.

We have a beautiful range of frames and use both Hoya and Zeiss for our main lens choice.

We have 3 possible positions, and wages will be discussed according to experience, qualifications etc.

Job description

As an optical assistant you will be required to be able to carry out the following;

Greeting patients as they arrive, checking details and getting relevant forms signed.

Arranging appointments.

Have excellent customer service skills

General optical administration duties including answering phone and email queries

As an Dispensing Optician you will be required to carry out ;

Problem solving

Working along side the current Dispensing Optician.

Offering advice when needed to the dispensing assistant and other members of staff.

General duties to help the smooth running of the practice.

As an Admin assistant you will be required to carry out the following

Dealing with invoices and statements, forwarding them to our book keeper.

The scanning of paper records.

Reconciling payments received from Primary eye care and Hospitals.

Answering phone and email queries.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract
