Job Overview
Fixaki is seeking a motivated and reliable Electrician Assistant / Electrical Installation Assistant to support our growing team across Coventry, Leicester, and surrounding areas. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in modern electrical and technology installations while working alongside experienced engineers and electricians.
You will assist with a wide range of projects including electrical installations, CCTV systems, networking infrastructure, security systems, smart home technologies, and AI-enabled automation solutions. The ideal candidate will be practical, eager to learn, and comfortable travelling to customer sites.
Duties
- Assist electricians and engineers with electrical installation, maintenance, and repair works.
- Support the installation and commissioning of CCTV and surveillance systems.
- Assist with network cabling, WiFi installations, switches, routers, and structured data cabling.
- Support the installation of security systems including alarms, access control, and door entry systems.
- Assist with smart home and building automation projects.
- Support AI-based monitoring and automation system deployments.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Prepare materials, tools, and equipment required for site work.
- Assist with testing, fault finding, and inspection activities under supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Travel to customer sites as required
Qualifications
- Basic electrical knowledge or experience working in a technical environment is desirable.
- Experience with CCTV, networking, security systems, or smart home technologies is advantageous but not essential.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
- Strong willingness to learn and develop new technical skills.
- Good problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
- Reliable, punctual, and professional.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
Pay: £60.00-£80.00 per day
