Feta Street Food is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Kitchen Manager/Chef to take responsibility for the day-to-day running of our kitchen and street food operation.
We are a growing Greek street food and events business operating from The Ceres Inn, our mobile food trailer and catering events across Fife and Scotland.
This is not a role for someone who only wants to stand on the pass and give orders. You will be cooking, prepping, managing staff, maintaining standards and making sure every service runs properly.
The Role
You will take responsibility for the kitchen across our regular Ceres Inn service, street food events and selected weddings or private catering jobs.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading kitchen preparation and service
- Producing our Greek street food menu consistently and to a high standard
- Managing a small kitchen team during busy services
- Organising daily and weekly prep
- Monitoring stock levels and completing order lists
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- Maintaining portion control and reducing food waste
- Ensuring food is labelled, stored, chilled and reheated correctly
- Completing temperature checks, cleaning records and CookSafe paperwork
- Maintaining excellent food hygiene and kitchen cleanliness
- Helping train new kitchen staff
- Preparing the kitchen and trailer for events
- Supporting menu development and seasonal specials
- Communicating clearly with the business owner and front-of-house team
About You
You should be:
- An experienced chef who is confident running a busy kitchen service
- Organised and capable of planning prep ahead of time
- Calm under pressure
- Reliable and able to work without constant supervision
- Comfortable leading a small team while remaining hands-on
- Consistent with portion sizes, presentation and food quality
- Confident with food hygiene, allergen controls and kitchen paperwork
- Willing to take ownership when something needs fixed or improved
- Able to drive and travel to Ceres and event locations
- Available to work weekends
Previous experience as a Kitchen Manager, Sous Chef, Head Chef or experienced Chef de Partie would be beneficial.
A food hygiene qualification is preferred, although additional training can be provided for the right person.
Hours
The normal rota is based around a fixed four-day working week, with Monday to Wednesday off.
Our kitchen closes at 9pm, so this role does not involve regular late-night finishes.
Additional hours may occasionally be available for weddings, festivals and private events.

Pay will range from £15 to £20 per hour, depending on experience, responsibilities and the agreed working arrangement.
