Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves engaging with customers, providing excellent service, and supporting store operations to ensure a positive shopping experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a passion for retail. Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are highly desirable to assist a diverse customer base. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their sales skills within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and assist them in locating products
Provide detailed product information and answer customer queries effectively
Upsell relevant products and promotions to maximise sales opportunities
Maintain visual merchandising standards in line with company guidelines
Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale system
Manage stock levels, organise displays, and ensure the sales floor is tidy and inviting
Handle phone enquiries professionally, demonstrating good phone etiquette
Support organisational tasks such as inventory checks and stock replenishment
Assist in organising promotional events or seasonal displays as required

Skills

Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Spanish is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
Basic mathematical skills for handling transactions and stock counts
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
Multilingual or bilingual abilities to serve diverse customer groups effectively
Good organisational skills for maintaining store presentation standards
Demonstrated ability to upsell products tactfully and confidently
Effective phone etiquette and customer service skills
Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail best practices
