Accounts & Administration Assistant
Location: Wolston, CV8 3FZ
Job Type: Full-time, Office-Based (No Remote Working)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm
Salary: Up to £27,000 per annum
About the Role
We are seeking a proactive, organised, and detail-oriented Accounts & Administration Assistant to join our team. This is a varied role that combines accounting support with general office administration, making it ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high levels of accuracy and professionalism.
As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial and administrative operations of the business while acting as a professional first point of contact for customers and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Duties
- Process supplier and sales invoices accurately and efficiently.
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate financial records.
- Reconcile supplier statements and resolve any discrepancies.
- Manage credit control activities, including monitoring outstanding balances and following up on overdue accounts.
- Assist with financial reporting and general accounting administration as required.
Administration Duties
- Maintain accurate electronic and paper-based filing systems.
- Update and manage customer records within the CRM system.
- Maintain licence agreements, data records, and related documentation.
- Handle and resolve customer and supplier queries in a timely and professional manner.
- Support the operations and maintenance team.
- Provide administrative assistance to the wider team as required.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in an accounts administration or similar role.
- Proven experience using Sage 50 Accounts.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills.
- Professional communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- A-Level education or equivalent qualification.
