Role Overview
Sweatpretty is the premier provider of on-site hair braiding for the fitness community. We are looking for a high-energy, organised, and proactive Events Coordinator to be the heartbeat of our event operations around the UK. You aren’t just behind the scenes; you are the face of the brand, the manager of the team, and the logistics engine that makes every event a success.
Key Responsibilities
1. Logistics & Operations
Transport & Setup: Transport the event kit (tables, chairs, braiding materials) to and from the venue using your own vehicle.
Pitch Management: Lead the physical setup and takedown of the Sweatpretty pitch, ensuring the space is professional, clean, and inviting.
Team Transport: Occasionally transport braiders to and from the event location.
2. On-Site Leadership & Management
Staff Oversight: Manage a team of braiders, ensuring they maintain high quality-control standards.
Workflow Optimization: Monitor event flow; manage staff breaks/lunch and make executive decisions on staffing levels (e.g., sending staff home during quiet periods to manage costs).
Conflict Resolution: Act as the primary point of contact for the public, handling any issues or refund requests with professionalism and grace.
3. Sales & Customer Experience
Brand Ambassadorship: Stand front-of-house to engage with event attendees and actively sell braiding services.
Queue Management: Orchestrate the waiting list and ensure clients have selected their preferred braid style before reaching the stylist to keep the line moving efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
Mobility: Must have a valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle suitable for transporting event equipment.
Experience: Proven background in customer service or retail sales; an interest in event management is highly preferred.
Personality: You are "the life of the party" but with a clipboard. You must be friendly, approachable, and able to command a space.
Reliability: Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work independently under pressure.
