Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Prepper/Painter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces mainly and assisting within our powder coating and wet painting facility, ensuring high-quality finishes. The position involves physical labour and requires adherence to safety standards to deliver outstanding results.

This is based on a temporary contract but could result in a permanent position.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and priming to ensure optimal paint adhesion
Mix paints, stains, and other coatings according to specifications
Apply paint using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment with precision and care
Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the project
Follow safety procedures at all times, including the proper handling of tools and materials
Assist with other related tasks as required to support project completion

Skills

Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding equipment and tools used in preparation and painting processes
Experience with power tools including spray guns, drills, and sanders is desirable
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling materials or equipment
Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes
Good organisational skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Physical stamina for extended periods of standing, bending, and lifting during work shifts

Working hours - 7.00am - 3.30pm. Overtime would be required during the week at enhanced rate.

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
