Full job description

Job Overview:

We are currently seeking a proactive and technically skilled Semi-Senior Account Manager to join our team. This role is ideal for a part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ACA) or someone with relevant practice experience looking to advance their career within a dynamic firm. You’ll work closely with senior accountants and managers to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare year-end statutory accounts for limited companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Assist in managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring deadlines are met and client expectations exceeded.
Handle bookkeeping, VAT returns, and management accounts as required.
Liaise directly with clients to gather information, resolve queries, and provide financial insights.
Assist in mentoring junior staff and reviewing their work where appropriate.
Work with senior managers on ad-hoc advisory or project-based assignments.

Requirements:

Part-qualified ACA/ACCA or qualified by experience.
Minimum 2–4 years of experience in a UK-based accounting practice.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and relevant regulations.
Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage.
Excellent time management and organisational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
A team player with a client-first attitude.
