D.J Trees & Hedges is a professional and growing tree surgery business, committed to high standards of workmanship, safety, and customer service. Due to increased workload, we are looking to expand our team with a motivated and reliable Second Climber.
The Role
We are seeking a Second Climber to support our lead climbers and assist with a wide range of tree surgery operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to progress their career in arboriculture.
This role would suit:
A qualified groundsman ready to step up into climbing
A newly qualified climber looking to gain more hands-on climbing experience
Requirements
Minimum qualifications: CS30 CS31 CS38
CS39 preferred but not essential
Full UK driving license
At least 1 year of experience in tree surgery
Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
Ability to work as part of a team
Good understanding of health & safety practices
Responsibilities
Assisting with climbing and aerial tree work
Supporting ground operations when required
Maintaining tools and equipment
Ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently
Driving a tipping van and towing
