Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Till Assistant to join our dynamic retail team! In this vital role, you will be the friendly face at the checkout counter, ensuring smooth transactions and exceptional customer service. Duties

Operate cash registers and point-of-sale systems accurately and efficiently during transactions
Assist customers with purchases, returns, and exchanges using excellent communication skills
Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, ensuring merchandise is properly merchandised
Upsell products and promote store promotions to enhance customer experience and sales
Handle cash, credit card, and mobile payments with precision, adhering to cash handling procedures
Provide friendly phone etiquette when answering inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Manage time effectively to minimize wait times and ensure smooth checkout flow during busy periods

Experience

Previous experience in retail or customer service roles is preferred but not required
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately
Excellent communication skills to engage confidently with diverse customers
Ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize tasks effectively
Knowledge of merchandising techniques and upselling strategies is a plus
