Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced friendly and efficient Cafe Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting daily café operations, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring excellent customer service. Also taking a team leader role in regards to job tasks
Hours are 24 per week , will include a Friday & Saturday. Along with other days during the week
Must be over 21
Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of food and beverages in accordance with café standards
- Assist with meal preparation, including assembling sandwiches, salads, and other light dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and serving areas
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to at all times
- Serve customers efficiently and courteously, taking orders and processing payments
- Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment
- Support team members during busy periods to ensure excellent customer experiences
Experience
- Previous experience in food preparation or a kitchen environment is essential
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is preferred
- Strong communication skills and a friendly demeanour are essential for providing excellent customer service
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
